I just don't understand how people get so much enjoyment from watching sports. While I can understand the attraction of actually playing these sports, where is the enjoyment in watching them being played by other people? Football is just one example.

Why do some people find it enjoyable to watch grown men kicking a ball from one end of a field to the other and back again? I just don't get it. I suppose it is because I would much rather be taking part in something than watching it.

I love to play online games but I know that some people would call me a geek. I even like to play online sports games but could not stand to have to watch a live sports event.

I never watch football matches and don't even have a favourite team but I do like to play it online. The reason for this is because I like to be involved. I am actually a part of what is going on and not just watching it.

If my team wins it is because of my actions. If I do win then I feel good about it. It never ceases to amaze me how jubilant football fans get when their team wins because they had no part in it. Wearing the same colours as the rest of the team is not going to make them a part of it.

I know that most sports fans won't agree with what I have to say. If they think about it honestly though, they will have to admit that it playing online games is superior to just watching somebody else play a sport.

Playing online games is something that you can even become famous at and make money from. A football fan could never become famous for cheering.
